This is 20 years of my life condensed into just four minutes.
I will forever be nostalgic for those old days in the Pivot Community. I've never met a group of animators more dedicated to raising the bar, and I've carried that mentality forward ever since. I did struggle for a while after I moved to Flash, but after A Colt Classic, and especially after the release of Cup De Grace, I know that I've still got it. I want to set the bar even higher going forward.
Most of you have only known me for a small part of this journey, but I want to thank each and every one of you for being here. This is the most personal video I've ever made and every comment I read means so much to me.

IMPORTANT INFO
Please watch this video in at least 720p or higher. At lower resolutions, YouTube will limit the video to 30 FPS which will cause the mixed frame rates to look extremely scuffed.

The music used in this video is Ricochet Love, by WaterFlame. It's very nostalgic for me, and I've always associated it with old Pivot animation compilations like this one.
FRAME RATE INFO
My oldest animations were at 10 FPS with one or two being at 12 FPS. My later Pivot animations were usually 16.666 FPS (GIF exports with 0.06 frame intervals) but were sometimes 17 FPS or 18 FPS (BMP exports converted to video using MonkeyJam). When I switched to Adobe Flash in 2012, I animated at 20 FPS for a while before eventually moving up to 24 FPS. When I began working for DAGames in 2017, I'd use 24 FPS, 30 FPS, or 60 FPS depending on the project. This video has to account for ALL of these frame rates, which is why I chose 60 FPS.
If the project was set to 30 FPS, the only lower frame rate that it would work for is 10 FPS. Everything else would result in very obvious stuttering as some frames are exposed once at one 30th of a second, while other frames are exposed for twice as long. At 60 FPS, the exposures work out to threes and fours, which isn't perfect but it's far less noticeable. Plus, on a 60hz screen (which most of you probably have) the visual result is identical to what you would see watching these animations at their native frame rates anyway.
