A largely dry and settled night is expected, with plenty of evening sunshine before cloud gradually spreads inland from the east through the early hours. By dawn, cloud will be more widespread across parts of eastern England, the Midlands and perhaps eastern Wales, while western and southwestern areas remain clearer for longer.
