Artist Christine Sun Kim sat down with the Walker Art Center for a conversation on artistic practice, musical notation, translation, and the collaborative nature of her art. Reflecting on her path to becoming an artist, Kim discusses the lessons she’s carried with her over the years, and the role translation and interpretation play in her work and everyday life. She also shares the stories behind “Ghost(ed) Notes” and “The Star-Spangled Banner,” two works featured in “Christine Sun Kim: All Day All Night.”
