RPGs are one of the best genres to play on the Steam Deck, and there are so many great options that narrowing them down into one list was honestly a challenge. In this video, I’ve put together a collection of some of the best RPGs you can play in handheld mode, from massive open-world adventures to deep turn-based classics and hidden gems.

All of these games not only run well on the Steam Deck, but they’re also perfect for both long play sessions and quick gaming moments before bed or during spare time. The Steam Deck has been amazing for helping me finally make progress through my never-ending Steam backlog, and these are some of the games that made the experience even better.
