7 Chords are all Connected?

In Video 7 from the Apply Series, we use the baritone ukulele to see how both Major and minor chords use the exact same rule to become 7 chords, and then we discover how certain Major chords are hiding in the minor 7 chords!

The instrument doesn't matter- the rules stay the same.

We also take a quick peek at Major 7 and 6 chords, to see how knowing the notes you need gives chord shapes meaning.

Practice your 7 chords in the Jam Tracks Lab in six common keys in the "More Major Chord Progressions" and the "Blues" links: https://www.fretboard-toolbox.com/jam-tracks-lab

Follow the full Toolbox Path for free to build "the music theory that matters most" from the ground up: https://www.fretboard-toolbox.com/pathfinder

See all videos organized by instrument and topic in the Toolbox Video Library: https://www.fretboard-toolbox.com/videos

See your instrument on the piano- (the original fretboard-piano bridge, since 2012): https://www.fretboard-toolbox.com/fretboard-piano-bridge

Every lesson in the Toolbox Path changes just one small thing from the last idea, so if you ever get lost on the Path, just go back one step...and you're only one step away!

Happy playing, Scott
