In US cities, wealthier neighbourhoods often have far more tree cover than lower-income ones — the result of decades of disinvestment and redlining.

That means cooler streets and cleaner air for some, and more concrete and heat for others.

Trees are climate infrastructure. Every neighbourhood deserves them.
