For a start, this is part 60, not 59 as it says in the opening part of the video... I was so close to taking the XC out for a drive today! Why didn't I? Well, I kept finding small unfinished jobs on the car, one of which, was the bonnet not locking properly. Welcome to the XC Fairmont GXL restoration! There are perhaps just one or two videos left on this car before we call it complete. Many of the items attended to have been dealt with quickly using old parts, just so I can get the car through a RWC examination. Being on holiday presents an excellent time to finish the car, although I have a lot of work to do at the other house and its garage extension. At worst, I reckon this car will be done by mid March.
