Playthrough with Hanzou. The final World Heroes game was released in 1995, and is no doubt the best in the series, although it’s still a not particularly great game. Everyone from the previous game is back along with the return of Neo Dio and one new character: Son Gokuu (not THE Son Goku, before you get your hopes up).
The controls have been changed, something the series could have done with a couple of games a go but here we are. The problem I have is that they made it a 6 button fighting game for a 4 button system, so you have to press buttons together to use the strongest punches and kicks, something I’m not a fan of. The dedicated taunt button is gone, you now instead have to press the B and C buttons together.
To fight Son Gokuu you have to meet certain requirements depending on the stage you’re on to get special animations to play at the end of the round. You need to get three of these, the ones I got were at 2:31 (use your two taunts, fake dizzy and time over animations to make meteorites appear), 5:19 (throw your opponent three times to make a snowman drop down) and 10:07 (win with a full hero gauge to make a bird fly across the screen).
It doesn’t matter if you win or lose the one round you fight against Zeus, you’ll end up fighting Neo Dio anyway. A lot of characters in this game can be taken out with Hanzo’s QCB+kick move, use the strong kick version a lot and you should be ok.
