Years after Vicki Kelly had SynchroMed 2 implanted to manage chronic back pain, doctors believe it caused a blood clot that led to spinal cord stroke. Now the 69-year-old grandmother is paralysed from the waist down. She then discovered the implant that she had relied on was never independently tested by Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration.
