XTAR's 2000mAh cell scored poorly at first, until I understood it's a linear-discharge battery: voltage drops gradually so a device can read how much charge is left. Most cells in the test are flat: steady voltage that holds, then craters with little warning. Final batteries to test: the Panasonic eneloop and eneloop Pro, the benchmark NiMH rechargeables.
