Description
After 8 years in early access, Ground Branch finally hit 1.0 so what's actually new in Ground Branch 1.0? I already played the two new 1.0 campaign missions in yesterday's video, so this time I tested the rest of what the update adds: the reworked Hospital and Airbase maps, and the brand new Extraction mode, where the enemy AI will execute the hostage if they hear you fighting. And I've got to be honest with you. A couple of reworked maps, one new mode, and an AI that feels pretty much the same as it did months ago… I'm not sure this justifies calling it a 1.0 release. It still feels like early access, and that's a shame, because I genuinely love this game. I bought in years ago so I've lost nothing but if you're thinking about buying Ground Branch NOW purely because it hit 1.0, I'd actually really struggle to recommend it unless you already saw the value before. Here's everything new, tested properly, and my honest verdict. Do you think 1.0 was too early?
