What if the 2026 FIFA World Cup was played using NBA teams? In this video, I randomly assigned 30 of the top projected World Cup countries to current NBA franchises and simulated an entire tournament in NBA 2K. The teams were drawn into six groups of five, played through a full group stage, and battled their way through a 16-team knockout bracket to determine one champion. Would powerhouse countries like the United States, France, and Brazil dominate the competition, or would an unexpected underdog make a historic run? From shocking upsets and dramatic eliminations to an unforgettable championship match, this NBA World Cup simulation had everything.
