I stitched along with Heather Briggs on her Summer in the Cabin Quilt Along and finished 12 blocks, mixing all of her Moda collections together for a scrappy look. I made mine small and used 6-inch log cabin paper piecing instead of her original instructions, just to switch things up.
Then Friday's livestream happened, and I saw the new Petit Pan fabric we just got in. Had to go home and start something right away, so I pulled out my 5-inch jelly braid paper and used our free Easy Sashed Braids pattern. You're only supposed to make 20 blocks... I made 30. No regrets.
I even starched everything first and cut extra 2.5" x 6.5" rectangles for a scrappy binding. And there's still fabric left over. That's the thing about our fat quarter bundles, since they're 54 inches wide, you're getting way more than a typical fat quarter bundle. Probably enough for 3 or 4 quilts, so I'll be turning the rest into bags or something fun.
