Valerie spent her life living to the virtue of kindness. Outside of spreading light and loving her fellow humans, she excelled in dance and spent her early years in swim meets. Every person who happened to grace her world got a taste of what it meant to be heard and cared for. It was hard not to love her beautiful heart and witty humor. She leaves a legacy of understanding and compassion. She never loved something as much as she loved being a mother. Her family remained her most prized accomplishment and possession. She loved each of them so much for who they truly were and that meant loving every animal they brought with them.
Her days were spent taking care of her friends, rewatching a very carefully curated list of shows, helping around the house, and making her home a home to everyone.
Remembering Valerie will be in the tunes of Neil Diamond, the smell of blooming lavender and incense, turning on one of her go to shows (Charmed, Scrubs, Boston Legal, Stephen Colbert or John Stewart’s Show), Christmas lights on anytime of the year, and the sun against skin warm like her embrace.
She spent the majority of her life in Idaho, traveling to the East Coast to be a nanny for a couple of years and then to Oregon, but home stayed in Idaho Falls after she had her children. In that time she loved redecorating every room during every holiday, bringing life to each celebration. .
