Welcome to the YouTube Backstage Pass, four Fridays building my real channel live.
In the first week I’m going to show you how I quickly write my high-retention YouTube scripts, as well as generate click-worthy title and thumbnail ideas in real time.
This won't be a highlight reel. We’re showing the process behind a channel that's bringing in consistent leads without spending 20 hours a week on it.
Most people only show you the result: the finished video, the thumbnail that worked, the screenshot of the views. We never see what happened in between — the title that got cut, the thumbnail idea that flopped, why a video didn't take off.
That's usually the part that you can learn the most from, so we're showing it.
My business partner (and wife) Candy Harper will be there to ask the questions you really want answered — and make sure I don't try and skip past the stuff that failed. 😁
Here’s what we’ll show each week:
🗓️ Friday, June 19 — Video Planning: We will map out a full month's worth of video scripts, titles and thumbnail ideas in real time.
🗓️ Friday, June 26 — Making Better Videos: We'll look back at the retention graphs of some of my worst performing videos (might be cringeworthy) to figure out what went wrong — then learn from it so next month's videos are stronger.
🗓️ Friday, July 3 — Video Packaging: We'll finalize Titles and Thumbnails, built live, sharing the tools, the iterations, and the reasoning behind whatever we land on — for the same videos planned 2 weeks earlier.
🗓️ Friday, July 10 — Analytics Review: Hate looking at your YouTube Analytics? Me too a lot of the time. But we'll look at my real numbers to see what's working, what isn't, and what I'm changing because of it.
Each live stream will run 30-60 minutes with live Q&A at the end to deepen understanding about whatever we covered that day.
