Bobby McFerrin's '23rd Psalm' is one of his most beloved choral works, appearing on his 1990 album 'Medicine Music'. A gentle and deeply personal reimagining of Psalm 23, the piece is dedicated to his mother and is notable for its use of feminine pronouns for God, reflecting McFerrin's desire to express the nurturing, unconditional love he associated with both motherhood and the divine.
The music combines simplicity, warmth and extraordinary vocal craftsmanship, transforming one of the most familiar biblical texts into an intimate meditation on comfort, trust and belonging.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I have all I need

Beside the still waters, She will lead
