Onboard a Virgin Atlantic 787-9 Dreamliner G-VFAN for a night flight from San Francisco back to London Heathrow.
A stunning departure out of San Francisco, turning over the Golden Gate Bridge, with views of Alcatraz and downtown as well. Closely followed by passing over the Rockies before the sunset. We continued eastbound, passing over Boston during the night and crossing the Atlantic. Didn’t film the sunrise as the crew had tinted the windows and locked them (a pet hate of mine on the 787, when you pay for a window seat and the option to look out of it is taken away).
A beautiful spring day awaited our arrival in London. Mostly clear sunny skies, some nice views of the surrounding areas as we make our approach onto RWY09L at LHR. Making quite a firm touchdown about 15 mins ahead of schedule just after midday.
