The Government of India has officially appointed Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, as the next Chief of the Naval Staff. He is set to take command on May 31, 2026, succeeding Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi upon his retirement.
