Anti-Trump veterans gathered to protest near the Capitol today, condemning the Trump administration as fascist as jets flew overhead as part of the nearby Freedom250 celebration.
“Unity is not weakness, unity is strength!” one advocated.
One passerby identifying himself as a veteran attempted to confront the anti-Trump protesters, and was blocked from proceeding further by the protest marshals. Police did not get involved.
“Convict! Impeach! Remove!” the anti-Trump veterans and their supporters chanted.
“We have the chance to fight fascism, right here, right now!” a speaker added.
An apparent right-wing content creator also showed up at the anti-Trump veterans FLARE rally and was blocked and had some water squirted at him by event marshals.
Police later kept the man away from the rally, but stayed out of it when he first arrived.
Anti-Trump veterans rallying in front of the Capitol condemned the role of corporations in American democracy, saying that they functionally run the American government.
