📖 Level Story:
1916. After the horrors of the Somme, the war continues to grind on. Karl has made his way to the village of Vaubecourt, a small farming community caught in the crossfire of the Western Front. Here, the fighting has reduced the once-picturesque countryside to a muddy, cratered wasteland. Barbed wire stretches across fields, abandoned equipment rusts in the rain, and the constant rumble of artillery echoes in the distance.
But Vaubecourt holds a special significance for Karl. Somewhere in this war-torn landscape, a reunion awaits. The path home is treacherous — German patrols sweep the area, the terrain is littered with hazards, and the enemy has set up machine gun nests along key positions. Karl must navigate through ruined buildings, crawl under barbed wire, and use the environment to his advantage.
This level is a test of patience and stealth. Every shadow could hide danger, and one wrong move could alert the enemy. But Karl is driven by a single purpose: to see his wife Marie and young son Victor again. After years of separation, the end of his journey is finally in sight .
