he flood situation in Upper Assam continues to worsen as the death toll has risen to 35. Nazira remains the worst-hit area, with 18 reported fatalities, while 70 people are still missing in Sivasagar district. Thousands of flood-affected families in Nazira, Charaideo, and Sonari have lost their homes and livelihoods, facing immense hardship. Jorhat is also witnessing severe flood devastation, with rescue and relief efforts continuing across the affected regions.
