A busy afternoon at Derby station on April 17th 2026.
The purpose of my trip out this day was to go on one of EMRs new 810s. So I sampled one of them from London St Pancras, then stayed for an hour or so at Derby station to see what was around. Some quite interesting movements and a good mixture of traffic. 2x class 37s.
Loram liveried 37418 and Europhoenix blue livery 37501 dragging LNR 730218.
Also included are several EMR class 810 "Auroras" as well as the regulars. Class 222 Meridians & 170s. Cross Country Voyagers & 170s in a mix of liveries. A refurbed Voyager as well as a 170. and of course, the thumbnail. The "Flying Banana" the NMT HST seen arriving & departing.
All in all a good visit to Derby and a fair few good shots. Always nice to see the HST and a unexpected 37 drag.
