Ingredients:
3 tbsp butter
1 tsp cumin seeds
¼ tsp asafoetida
1 tbsp garlic, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1½ cups rice, soaked
1 cup moong dal, soaked
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
Salt, to taste
½ cup green peas
3 tomatoes, pureed
4 cups water
1 tbsp kasoori methi


Method:
1. Heat butter in a pan, add cumin seeds and asafoetida, mix well and sauté till cumin are splutter.
2. Add chopped garlic, mix well and sauté till garlic gets brown in color.
3. Add chopped chillies and mix well.
4. Add chopped onion, mix well and sauté for 1 min.
5. Add soaked rice, moong dal, salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and green peas, mix well and sauté for 1 min.
6. Add tomato puree, mix well and cook for 1 min.
7. Add 4 cups of water and mix well.
8. Cover and cook for 12-15 min.
9. Remove the cover and mix well.
10. Add kasoori methi and mix well.
11. Remove in serving bowl and serve hot.
