B5 S4 engine mounts are a known problem, and in this video I found one of the worst failures I’ve ever seen. If your Audi B5 S4 has vibration at idle, clunking when accelerating, harsh shifts, or feels sloppy on throttle, blown engine mounts are often the real cause. The 2.7T puts a lot of stress on hydraulic mounts, and when they fail, the car feels broken. In this video I show what failed, why it failed, and what those symptoms actually look like in the real world.
This video is also for engine mounts in general, not just the B5 S4. Bad engine mounts can cause vibration, knocking noises, clunks under load, and drivetrain movement in almost any car.
