When Kaya Pihaiti Yates Sharples graduated today, she crossed the stage with her four-year-old daughter by her side.

Kaya graduated with a Te Aho Tātairangi: Bachelor of Teaching and Learning Kura Kaupapa Māori and was celebrated by her whānau, including grandparents, parents, siblings, partner, daughter, nieces and nephews, as well as workmates.
