Barbary Company. The Marocco Company or Barbary Company was a trading company established by the Sultan of Morocco and Queen Elizabeth I
of England in 1585 through a patent granted to the Earls of Warwick and Leicester, as well as forty others.
MOOR (from Blacks Law Dictionary)
MOOR. An officer in the Isle of Man, who summons the courts for the several sheadings. The office is similar to the English bailiff of a hundred.

The Hundreds
HUNDRED. Under the Saxon organization of England, each county or shire comprised an indefinite number of hundreds, each hundred con- taining ten tithings, or groups of ten families of freeholders or frankpledges.
The hundred was governed by a high constable, and had its own court; but its most remarkable feature was the corporate responsibility of the whole for the crimes or defaults of the individual members. The introduction of this plan of organization into England is commonly ascribed to Alfred.

The empire of Morocco is much the largest of the Barbary States, comprising the ancient Mauri-tania, and the modern kingdoms of Morocco Proper, Fez, and other division of 1643. The country of Morocco is remarkable for its fertility, producing grain, olives, fruits, &c.
