On this Thursday Hang I’m going to show you a fun way to play in “C” Minor by using a really cool Pentatonic Mode called the “Suspended Pentatonic,” (also commonly referred to as the “Egyptian Scale”).
What’s so cool about using this scale (along with the lesson “Cm” MP3 jam-loop), is how much fun you can have soloing with it. In music theory, the suspended pentatonic scale is a five-note scale with a distinct, open sound.
The “C” Minor Suspended Pentatonic is considered to be a pentatonic scale mode that is (in this case) based off of the second degree of the “Bb” major pentatonic scale.
