Every time I visit Japan, my friend takes me to the same small sushi restaurant — Hisago Sushi, tucked down a narrow side street just across from Kurihama Station.

I never even order. I leave it completely up to my friend and the set menu… and it never disappoints.

Some of the best things I’ve eaten in Japan were dishes I didn’t even know the name of. Sometimes stepping outside your comfort zone is the best way to discover something new.

If you’re ever near Kurihama, this spot is definitely worth trying.
