The BBC radio 4 transmitter on 198khz from Droitwich has just been switched off after playing a closedown loop.
The transmitter was powered off just after noon ok Tuesday 30th June 2026 marking the end of 92 years of long wave from Droitwich and 48 years of BBC Radio 4 on long wave from Droitwich.
