Description
During the 1800s, American officer Phillip Nolan renounces his country. During his court-martial, he is sentenced to sail the seas on American warships without ever setting foot on American soil again or hearing news of America. Exiled from his country during sixty years at sea, he grows to love with a deep devotion. Based on the 1863 short story "The Man Without a Country" by Edward Everett Hale.
