Description
One of the biggest misconceptions about leadership is that eventually you’ll reach a point where you can stop doing the activities that built your business.
You grow a team, step into mentorship, and suddenly your days become filled with coaching calls, team chats, trainings, recognition posts, and supporting everyone else’s goals.
While all of those things matter, they can also create the illusion that you’re growing your business simply because you’re busy.
The reality is that leadership isn’t a promotion out of personal production. It’s a promotion into learning how to balance both.
The leaders who build businesses that last understand that new growth is always part of the equation. New customers, new team members, and new relationships are what create momentum year after year.
They don’t stop building once they become leaders.
They simply become more intentional with how they spend their time.
That’s why I believe structure matters so much. Protecting time for prospecting, follow-up, social media, and relationship building isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. Because the most powerful thing you can do as a leader isn’t just tell your team what to do, it’s model it.
If you’ve been feeling busy but not seeing the growth you want, this week’s episode of The Melanie Mitro Show might be the reminder you need.
