Buried deep in the mountains of southern Siberia is a wall that should not exist. Giant granite blocks, stacked on top of each other, stretching nearly 200 metres across a mountain summit. Each block weighing up to 4,000 tons. The largest stones at Baalbek in Lebanon, the ones that defeated the greatest engineers of the Roman Empire, weigh 800 tons each. The blocks in Siberia are five times that weight. They sat hidden behind Soviet military checkpoints for most of the 20th century, sealed away from the world. When they were finally discovered in 2013, the ground around them showed burn marks, violently displaced boulders, and magnetic disturbances that instruments could not explain. Science has no answer for what created them..
