Veteran broadcaster and former Australian politician Derryn Hinch, known for his outspoken reporting style which earned him the nickname "The Human Headline, has died aged 82.
He was battling with declining mobility in recent months after suffering multiple falls last year.
In 2011, as he was found guilty for breaching a suppression order by publicly naming paedophiles and ordered to serve a five-month sentence in home detention, he was privately recovering from a liver transplant, grateful that he was given a second chance at life.
