The end of an era at Heathrow, as we begin the demolition of parts of Terminal 1 🚧

Heathrow Airport Short Score 29

Description

The end of an era at Heathrow.

Demolition is now underway for some of the airside buildings at Terminal 1, a building that welcomed millions of passengers between 1968 and its closure in 2015. As this iconic space makes way for the future, the work is being carried out with precision, safety and care alongside live airport operations.

Project Manager George Tsiamtsouris shares how these works will create a new space to support Terminal 2 baggage operations and future expansion.
