Apex Legends just nerfed Axel and Conduit...
but the way Respawn nerfed them may tell us something much bigger.
Conduit received direct power nerfs. Less healing. Less regeneration. Lower numbers across key parts of her kit.
Axel? Not so much.
Instead of targeting her movement, speed, or core gameplay loop, Respawn mostly adjusted Nitro Gates and counterplay opportunities.
So what does that tell us about Axel?
Does Respawn think she's actually broken?
Or do they think players simply haven't learned how to play against her yet?
