CM Punk defeated Sami Zayn for the WWE Championship on Raw Monday night in Chicago, and now everyone is calling him a hypocrite for doing exactly what he spent years criticizing The Rock and other part-timers for doing.
Punk is champion again. Sami Zayn now has every reason in the world to turn full heel. Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Nick Aldis, and Adam Pearce all move their stories forward in one night. The SummerSlam card went from interesting to must-see overnight.
But KENTA, MJF, and fans are all piling on, some in character, some not, and MJF went as far as comparing Punk to Hulk Hogan in 1993. I'm going to tell you exactly why none of these comparisons hold up.
