We have the second most concentrated media market in the world. The body meant to hold them to account is funded by the very outlets it's supposed to police. It can't be called a regulator. It's a protection racket with a logo.
That's why we're calling on the Prime Minister to replace it with something real. An independent authority that investigates complaints quickly, requires prominent corrections, and isn't beholden to the people it regulates.
