The all-new electric Volkswagen ID. Cross Interior Design

Description

In the new ID. Cross, the "Digital Cockpit Pro"—the digital instruments for the driver—and the infotainment display are clearly arranged in a horizontal line. The "Digital Cockpit Pro" measures 26.0 cm (10.25 inches) diagonally. When the driver activates the "Retro Display" via the "View" button on the multifunction steering wheel, the instruments of a Golf I appear in the "Digital Cockpit Pro." In this mode, there is a classic speedometer on the left and a tachometer on the right. However, in the ID. Cross, the tachometer doesn't display engine speed, but rather (as a power meter) the energy output or input of the electric drive. Naturally, other modern functions, such as the traffic sign recognition display, are also integrated into the early 1980s-inspired layout. The infotainment system's touchscreen, located in the center of the dashboard, measures 32.8 cm (12.9 inches) diagonally, making it as large as a high-quality tablet. Furthermore, the display is easily accessible for the front passenger.
