Endsieg and a whole bunch of other mods combine together into a huge battle that took me way too long to set up, but I think the end-result was worth it.. next battle is already in the works, I will be using the MACE mod for that one, what should I do after that? Let me know your ideas!
I custom made an entire battle in the editor from scratch, including waypoints (big deal for me, an editor newbie!) I would be lying if I said I didn't waste 4-5 hours and then had to redo them all.. This was recorded on the last patch still, so no epic vaulting of obstacles in this one.. but I wanted to showcase Endsieg and push my own editor skills to the max!
I do really notice the lack of a REPLAY system (PLEASE BWS, PLEASE) it meant that I only had one shot to record every battle. While I would've loved to zoom-in, focus more on every flank and get all the details up close, like in Combat Mission videos, I can't do that in GoH as there is no replay system. While I can restart the scenario over and over, the outcome is largely determined by RNG, meaning that you can replay this scenario 10x and it will be different each time, not ideal for recording multiple angles across multiple scenario restarts..
I initially had a lot more planned with in-depth looks at the squads, platoons, general make-up of the units fighting here, but I figured I would keep this one rather simple for now (though there is a little hold-over of that at the end of the video, let me know what you think about that!)
