Templating and Cutting Coosa Panels for the New Sailboat Cabin Sole (1970 Paceship 24)!

BoatworksToday Guide 4 months ago

Description

This week I start working on the new cabin sole for my 1970 Paceship 24 sailboat.

The first step is creating accurate templates so the new floor panels fit the hull properly. To do that, I built a temporary work sole using OSB panels, allowing me to verify the layout and make adjustments before committing to the final material.

Once the templates were dialed in, they were transferred over to Coosa board, and the new cabin sole panels were cut and prepared for fiberglassing.

The next steps will be fiberglassing these panels and preparing them for installation inside the boat and getting the new Coosa bulkheads cut and fit!

Things are starting the shape up!
