Meet Flynn Goodwin, a third-year Industrial Design student whose work bridges art, empathy, and design. For Flynn, creating for others is at the heart of his process, with empathy serving as his most valuable design tool.
In his thesis project, Flynn is developing a piece or collection of furniture that reimagines how materials are sourced and used. By drawing from the waste stream, he challenges common perceptions of materiality and opens dialogue about the potential of reclaimed materials in design.
