Playthrough of arcade mode with Ken. Street Fighter 6 was released in 2023, and I basically completely ignored it. I barely played SF5 and my interest in new games, particularly fighting games, has diminished greatly. When I watched the trailers and some versus matches, it just looked like another MvC style fighter where the combos go on and on and on, and it didn’t appeal to me at all.
I decided to at least give it a try after buying a second hand copy from CEX. And… it’s ok, I guess? I found it pretty overwhelming to begin with, there’s a lot to learn with the drive impact system and the tutorial is quite lengthy. I haven’t got a PSN sub so I can’t play online. I have got this on Xbox now so I will get to play some online matches at some point.
The arcade mode for this is really short. The default settings only have five stages, and one of those is a bonus stage. It’s funny that this video spends longer on the credits than it does on the gameplay.
