Stop Guessing! Use Triads to Create Melodic Solos 🎸

Brian Auer Guide 9 days ago

Description

Want your guitar solos to sound more melodic instead of just running scales? Try building melodies with triads.

In this lesson, I show the three triad shapes I use around the B minor root position (7th fret), right where your first pentatonic box and natural minor scale begin. From there, I move to the 9th fret for another triad shape, then back to the A major triad, while also showing an alternate inversion you can play at the 9th fret.

I keep these Shorts as concise as possible, so I trim out a lot of the deeper explanations. If you’d like a more in-depth breakdown, leave a comment and I’ll make a longer lesson, or sign up for private guitar lessons.
