Step into the Dene way of being with Angela Code

CBC Arts Short 1 months ago

Description

Angela Code (@angcode) believes that culture is a verb.

She lives a lifestyle rooted in hunting, hide tanning and land-based skills. With her mother, Mary, she shares reflections on finding intergenerational healing through their family’s beautiful, practical caribou clothing and tools.

This film features remarkable archival footage and photos courtesy of the Code Family (NahHO! Productions) and the Archives of Manitoba (Hudson Bay Company Archives).
