Description
Around 2 million people speak Esperanto as a second language, using it to communicate across cultures, but for Stela, Esperanto is a native language—one her parents taught her, which she uses to connect with the world in her daily life.
*Esperanto is a constructed language designed by L.L. Zamenhoff in 1887. Zamenhoff created Esperanto by merging elements of Romance, Germanic, and Slavic languages, with the goal of promoting peace and cross-cultural understanding in Europe, and one day, the world.
