Description
Esperanto is a constructed language designed by L.L. Zamenhoff in 1887. Zamenhoff created Esperanto by merging elements of Romance, Germanic, and Slavic languages, with the goal of promoting peace and cross-cultural understanding in Europe, and one day, the world. It has as many as 2 million speakers today, including 1,000 native speakers — people like Stela, who were raised in the language from birth.
