Description
St. Plechelm (July 15) was an English-born Saxon bishop and missionary whose tireless apostolic labors helped bring the Catholic Faith to Guelderland, Cleves, Juliers, and the surrounding regions of the Low Countries. In this reading from Fr. Alban Butler's Lives of the Saints, discover the inspiring story of a saint who left his homeland, journeyed to Rome, carried holy relics into pagan lands, and became one of the great missionaries of early medieval Europe.
