"Speak Low" Walking Bass Line
"Speak Low" is a very popular Jazz Standard by Kurt Weill, with lyrics by Ogden Nash. It's played occasionally on gigs and jam sessions, and is therefore, fundamental Jazz repertoire for all Jazz musicians. In this bass line I present a collection of my favorite techniques, methods and approaches for playing walking bass lines. These ideas can be applied to any and all future tunes.
