Back in September 2025, my mom and I travelled to the United Kingdom to celebrate her 75th birthday. For those who don’t know, my middle name is “Skene” which is Scottish and my mom’s family name. Our main goal was to explore our roots in the Village of Skene, Loch of Skene, and Skene Castle, but we also visited England and Ireland during those 2 weeks.
