Recorded live at Basel's popular AVO SESSION festival (now known as Baloise Session), on October 22, 2011. Portland, Oregon's "little orchestra" Pink Martini plays "Üsküdar'a gider İken," a traditional Turkish song that originally appeared on Pink Martini's 2013 studio album, Get Happy. The song has long been popular in concert for the band, with bandleader & pianist Thomas Lauderdale often inviting any Turkish fans who happen to be in the audience to come on stage to sing backup (or play the cymbals!). This performance features Storm Large on vocals, and Nicholas Crosa on violin.
